Montreal REM, short for Réseau express métropolitain, is a new light rail network in Montreal, Canada. It is a state-of-the-art transportation system designed to provide efficient and sustainable travel options for residents and visitors alike. The REM will connect various neighborhoods and suburbs, offering a convenient and environmentally friendly mode of transportation.
As part of its inaugural weekend celebrations, the Quebec government has announced that commuters can ride the REM for free on July 29 and 30, between central station in downtown Montreal and Brossard, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This special opportunity allows people to experience the REM before its official opening for regular service on July 31, making it an exciting chance to be part of Montreal’s transportation revolution.
