This is Wasaga Beach?

Ontario is really outdoing itself this time. In a saga that could rival any great epic, the Town of Wasaga Beach has boldly asked Premier Doug Ford to tackle a pressing issue: the beach poop fiasco.

Yes, you read that right. What started as a viral TikTok video has now escalated into a full-blown call for action, with Mayor Brian Smith declaring that it’s “high time” for a cleanup. Because, clearly, when it comes to Ontario’s priorities, addressing beachside waste and hygiene is right up there with, oh I don’t know, fighting climate change, transit or improving healthcare. Cheers to setting the bar so low that even a viral video is enough to spark a crisis!

You can’t, literally, make this ……. up!  🤦

Ontario town calls on Ford to clean up poop on beach saga: ‘It’s high time’

“The town has received no evidence — from residents, visitors or the Ontario government — to verify that any undesirable, unsanitary behaviour has occurred on the beach areas that make up Wasaga Beach Provincial Park,” he said.
