The obvious answer is to develop electric cars, and make them available yesterday.Whether the energy storage to run an electric car comes from batteries, hydrogen fuel cell, gas turbine, compressed air or nano capacitors can all evolve over time. The basic drivetrain consisting of a motor or motors, transmission (if any), regenerative braking systems and controlling electronics is common no matter how you generate your electricity, and there is no reason to wait.Get off oil now.
